This will be our annual joint meeting with the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (formerly the Planned Giving Council).  Our speaker's bio is extensive, as you can see below.

Dawn-Marie Driscoll is an emeritus executive fellow and advisory board member of the Center for Business Ethics at Bentley University, one of the nation’s leading institutes devoted to the study and practice of business ethics.

Ms. Driscoll is on the faculty of the national Ethics and Compliance Officer Association and has been appointed a visiting scholar at the University of Montana School of Business and the visiting John L. Aram Professor of Business Ethics at Gonzaga University. A frequent panelist, moderator and presenter about business ethics issues for such diverse groups as the Montana Board of Investments, the Investment Company Institute, DePaul University and the University of Cambridge, England, her books include The Ethical Edge: Tales of Organizations That Have Faced Moral Crises, hailed as "the bible for anyone interested in the field of corporate ethics" and Ethics Matters: How To Implement Values-Driven Management, published in the United States and Japan. She has authored over 50 articles on business ethics, appearing in such publications as Directors’ Monthly, Ethikos, Business Ethics, Business Ethics Quarterly, Workforce, ASCI Journal of Management, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times and The Boston Globe.

Ms. Driscoll serves as an independent director of DWS mutual funds ($100 billion) and was elected as a member of the Board of Governors of the Investment Company Institute, the national association of mutual funds, serving on the ICI’s audit, nominating and executive committees. Ms. Driscoll also served as chair of the ICI’s Directors Service Committee which advised the Institute regarding issues for independent directors of mutual funds and then as founding chair of the Independent Directors Council, the national organization of mutual fund directors. She is a director of ICI Mutual, the insurance company.

Ms. Driscoll was formerly a business law partner at Palmer & Dodge in Boston. She also served for over a decade as Vice President of Corporate Affairs and General Counsel of Filene’s, the Boston-based department store chain. She has been a director, trustee and overseer of several institutions, including the Boston Municipal Research Bureau, the Downtown Crossing Association, WGBH-TV, The Massachusetts Bay United Way and Regis College. She served as chairman of the board of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation.

Among Ms. Driscoll’s awards and honors include Visionary of the Mutual Fund Industry Award, 1999 Mutual Fund Trustee of the Year, an honorary Doctor of Arts degree from Regis College, an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Suffolk University and an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree from Bentley University Graduate School of Business. She is a graduate of Regis College and Suffolk University Law School and was appointed Visitor-in-Residence at The Bunting Institute at Radcliffe College.
